Foxes in the garden

Once again my infra-red cameras did me proud and worked well while I was asleep. This is Mum just about to tuck in when she suddenly realized she was being watched.
But she need not have worried it was only Junior having a lay down while waiting his turn at the food.

  3. Hi Mike,
Another interesting set of images of your Foxes Seems an excellent way of getting images, wish I could do it with the Barn Owls, just sleep and the camera does the rest.
    You stay safe.

    1. Hi John,
Sorry about the delay but I have had no computer for two weeks but a new set-up is up and running now. Infra-red while you sleep has its problems which one has to learn certain techniques to get results. I will be glad to use my cameras again and put more into my photography. Stay safe. Mike.

  4. More great images, Mike. It's been a long while now since the Fox last visited us - must have done a home swap with your Hedgehogs!

    Take great care - - - Richard

    1. I find that most of the animals come and go as they please, I have recorded up to six hogs and four foxes and at the moment I am down to one of each. I think food must be plentyful and they are feeding elsewhere. Stay safe. Mike.

About Me

My photo
Evacuated during the second world war to a village in Yorkshire where I lived in the home of a good photographer for more than five years who taught me the basics and a great deal about nature. Well past retirement age I have been a wildlife photographer for more than 30 years. Red Kites have been my speciality for much of this period. I did spend several years snapping wheelchair athletes and organizing the British Road Race Championship. In the year 2000 I was awarded a distinction by the Royal Photographic Society for my portfolio on wheelchair athletes. Most of my pics are digital, using Sony cameras and Sigma lenses. I used to spend many weeks each year with friends in Wales which is close to the Elan Valleys where I got many of my raptor pics. I now get these pictures more closely to home, specially red kites and peregrines. I support my pension by selling my pics, cards, coasters, fridge magnets and key rings etc. at craft fairs, something I wish I had done much earlier in life. I give illustrated talks to clubs and societies on wildlife and other branches of photography that I have been involved in.
