Still keeping track of the foxes in my garden but nothing seems to be happening yet. Coming in at about 2200hrs every evening collecting mouthfuls of bicuits to feed the youngsters with.
One cub came in once but it was quickly ushered away before I had chance to get a picture. Better luck next time.

About Me
- Mike Attwood
- Evacuated during the second world war to a village in Yorkshire where I lived in the home of a good photographer for more than five years who taught me the basics and a great deal about nature. Well past retirement age I have been a wildlife photographer for more than 30 years. Red Kites have been my speciality for much of this period. I did spend several years snapping wheelchair athletes and organizing the British Road Race Championship. In the year 2000 I was awarded a distinction by the Royal Photographic Society for my portfolio on wheelchair athletes. Most of my pics are digital, using Sony cameras and Sigma lenses. I used to spend many weeks each year with friends in Wales which is close to the Elan Valleys where I got many of my raptor pics. I now get these pictures more closely to home, specially red kites and peregrines. I support my pension by selling my pics, cards, coasters, fridge magnets and key rings etc. at craft fairs, something I wish I had done much earlier in life. I give illustrated talks to clubs and societies on wildlife and other branches of photography that I have been involved in.
It's certainly a fascinating light you capture them in. A bit of mystery about the shots. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marc,
DeleteThere is a lot of luck in the discovery of the settings. I found them accidently. Now I sit up at night waiting for the animals to come for a feed. Take care.
Mike.
The shots are remarkable, Mike, but the whole story of the relationship between you and the foxes even more so. Someone should be coming round to interview you and make a YouTube video of this. Congratulations! With my very best wishes, David
ReplyDeleteHello David,
DeleteThankyou for the comment, I don't mind but it might upset the animals and they come first. Take care,
Mike.
Me encantan estas fotos nocturnas a color. Es un gran trabajo el que realizas Mike, enhorabuena. Un fuerte abrazo desde el norte de España.
ReplyDeleteThankyou German,
DeleteIt is something I played about with when I could not get out because of lockdown. I now find it great fun sitting at my bedroom window at midnight watching the animals and not using flash. They often look at me but never run away. They are feeding cubs so I sit up most nights waiting for their arrival. Take care.

Hi Mike
ReplyDeletethe foxes make it particularly exciting but you will definitely be rewarded with the puppies
Greetings Frank
Thankyou Frank,
DeleteI am greatly looking forward to the first siting. Take care.
Mike.
Great work Mike... Happy summer ahead.
ReplyDeleteHello Ana,
ReplyDeleteThankyou Ana, I have a lot to look forward to. Take care.
Mike.
I wish I had visitors like this to photograph, Mike. I suspect that I still wouldn't get results as good as yours, however! Great stuff.
ReplyDeleteIt has taken several years for them to learn the pleasures of my garden. As you can see from a couple of my photo's that they know me and trust me and that is the best bit. Take care Richard.
DeleteBest wishes Mike.
