Well I never

I looked out of my bedroom window the other night to see if anything was happening and I saw Junior laying on the grass enjoying a biscuit, I turned away tp get my camera and another fox arrived.

Obviously a friend of Juniors because they settled down and had the rest of the biscuits together and spent the next hour or so enjoying each others company.

    1. Hello John,
I am not sure yet, The new one might be a female, if so, I could be having fun in the spring. Take care.

  3. Hello Mike,:=) It's lovely to see these wild creatures enjoying each others company. What a wonderful sighting of the foxes resting just like dogs after a meal. They look the same size, It will be exciting to discover if they are friends of the same sex, or male and female foxes.

I have also seen one fox. Would you believe it was asleep in broad day light in the middle of our deserted tennis courts. Surely that is most unusual!!
Enjoy your weekend, and take care.

    1. Hello Sonjia,
It excites me every time a fox is in the garden but two together as these two it is amazing. They are happy and safe.
A fox is an intellegent animal and will learn and if it feels safe anywhere it will return. As for your fox it has never experienced disturbance or fear on the tennis court so it becomes a safe place to rest. Which is what they are doing here. Good luck and stay safe.

Word has got around in the fox world where the best delicacies can be found without a big hunt ... because junior gets company immediately .. maybe there will be little juniors next year .. ;-))

About Me

My photo
Evacuated during the second world war to a village in Yorkshire where I lived in the home of a good photographer for more than five years who taught me the basics and a great deal about nature. Well past retirement age I have been a wildlife photographer for more than 30 years. Red Kites have been my speciality for much of this period. I did spend several years snapping wheelchair athletes and organizing the British Road Race Championship. In the year 2000 I was awarded a distinction by the Royal Photographic Society for my portfolio on wheelchair athletes. Most of my pics are digital, using Sony cameras and Sigma lenses. I used to spend many weeks each year with friends in Wales which is close to the Elan Valleys where I got many of my raptor pics. I now get these pictures more closely to home, specially red kites and peregrines. I support my pension by selling my pics, cards, coasters, fridge magnets and key rings etc. at craft fairs, something I wish I had done much earlier in life. I give illustrated talks to clubs and societies on wildlife and other branches of photography that I have been involved in.
