I am still learning and improving my skills but I really miss my photoshop. Again this photo is a few years old taken when I lived at a previous address. Everything seems to be going wrong at the moment, my photo lighting is playing up, not turning on when the foxes are about, plus workmen are digging up the road outside the garden which is upsetting them. Still I will keep on improving my skills till I get it right.

About Me
- Mike Attwood
- Evacuated during the second world war to a village in Yorkshire where I lived in the home of a good photographer for more than five years who taught me the basics and a great deal about nature. Well past retirement age I have been a wildlife photographer for more than 30 years. Red Kites have been my speciality for much of this period. I did spend several years snapping wheelchair athletes and organizing the British Road Race Championship. In the year 2000 I was awarded a distinction by the Royal Photographic Society for my portfolio on wheelchair athletes. Most of my pics are digital, using Sony cameras and Sigma lenses. I used to spend many weeks each year with friends in Wales which is close to the Elan Valleys where I got many of my raptor pics. I now get these pictures more closely to home, specially red kites and peregrines. I support my pension by selling my pics, cards, coasters, fridge magnets and key rings etc. at craft fairs, something I wish I had done much earlier in life. I give illustrated talks to clubs and societies on wildlife and other branches of photography that I have been involved in.
Hello Mike, :=)
ReplyDeleteThe image of the reclining foxes is charming. The sun kissed face of the fox in the foreground has the sweetest expression of pure bliss. I'm so sorry about all your troubles, which I hope will be resolved sooner rather than later.
All the. best
Thankyou for those lovely words Sonjia. I am slowly defeating my problems. I had a nice surprise last night when two hedgehogs turned up to feed. They haven't been seen for over a year. so things are looking up.

I'm delighted to know that you are getting things sorted, Mike, and hope that the road works are soon finished and your lighting working again.
ReplyDeleteI was interested to see in your reply to Sonjia that you have had two Hedgehogs visit this week. I had one visit eleven nights ago, but haven't seen it again since. Sadly, however, when I checked one of my hedgehog houses next day after the Hedgehog had poked its nose into, I found a very flat and dead Hedgehog.
Best wishes - - - Richard
Thats sad to hear Richard. They are such friendly creatures. I have often picked up a wild one and made a fuss of it.
DeleteHi Mike
ReplyDeleteIt's great news that you're getting the problems under control. When the construction work is finished Junior and his friends the hedgehogs will appear again for dinner, just be patient.
Greetings Frank
Th workmen have cleared up and gone and I am sitting waiting for something to happen. Take care Frank. Regards Mike.
DeleteFingers crossed Mike you are slowly getting there. A lovely image and I'm sure there will be many more to come. Take care.
ReplyDeleteMarc
Hello Marc, Thanks for the comment, I cure a problem every time I sit at the keyboard so it will not take me long. Take care,
