My Foxes

My foxes are now visiting me every night for their supper. Often they are sitting outside my window waiting for my room light to switch on.
This one is Sue named after a friend who recently passed away. She loved foxes.
I talk to them through my open window and they are quite happy to sit and listen.
Sue would rather sit, she appears to enjoy my company and will often stay after all the food has gone and just enjoy my company.

  1. Sue seems to have such a sad, but beautiful, face, Mike. Perhaps she shares your sorrow at the loss of your friend.

Take good care and stay safe - - - - Richard

    1. Yes Richard, she does seem to have a sad face but her behaviour with the other foxes is a delight, she seems to have a caring nature and the others know this and they are great friends. Take care.

  2. Hi Mike :=)

Wonderful images of "your" foxes. I also call the birds on my balcony "my" birds. :=) Sue likes the sound of your voice, the voice she trusts is music to her ears.
    All the best.

    1. Hello Sonjia, All the foxes have learned to trust me, Sue more so. You can tell by the way she runs into the garden and she certainly knows the sound of my voice. Take care,
      Mike.

    1. I love foxes too Haddock, our foxes are loved by many and will be seen openly in daylight sharing the villages paths with people. They are renowned locally for the control of the rat population which we used to have.

  5. You obviously have a great rapport with your foxes Mike. You set a great example to those who might want to harm such wonderful creatures. Everything has a place in Nature, even if we don't like parts of it.

    1. They are lovely creatures Phil, they come for supper every evening, five of them, they rest, sleep and play in the garden and I talk to them. They are better behaved than the dog next door.
      Take care, Mike.

    1. Thankyou German, they are truly my friends. I talk to them and they talk to me, in their own language of course. No matter the weather they visit every evening. Take care.

About Me

My photo
Evacuated during the second world war to a village in Yorkshire where I lived in the home of a good photographer for more than five years who taught me the basics and a great deal about nature. Well past retirement age I have been a wildlife photographer for more than 30 years. Red Kites have been my speciality for much of this period. I did spend several years snapping wheelchair athletes and organizing the British Road Race Championship. In the year 2000 I was awarded a distinction by the Royal Photographic Society for my portfolio on wheelchair athletes. Most of my pics are digital, using Sony cameras and Sigma lenses. I used to spend many weeks each year with friends in Wales which is close to the Elan Valleys where I got many of my raptor pics. I now get these pictures more closely to home, specially red kites and peregrines. I support my pension by selling my pics, cards, coasters, fridge magnets and key rings etc. at craft fairs, something I wish I had done much earlier in life. I give illustrated talks to clubs and societies on wildlife and other branches of photography that I have been involved in.
