My favourite fox
This little fox has become a real friend. He lays down on the grass outside my bedroom window and waits for me to go to bed. When my bedroom light goes on he jumps up turning the security light on. I throw his biscuits and grapes (which he loves) to him to which he leaps into the air trying to catch one. He then calms down and I talk to him while he eats his supper. He is very regular and comes at about eleven o'clock every night. His family used to come too but he is on his own now.

About Me
- Mike Attwood
- Evacuated during the second world war to a village in Yorkshire where I lived in the home of a good photographer for more than five years who taught me the basics and a great deal about nature. Well past retirement age I have been a wildlife photographer for more than 30 years. Red Kites have been my speciality for much of this period. I did spend several years snapping wheelchair athletes and organizing the British Road Race Championship. In the year 2000 I was awarded a distinction by the Royal Photographic Society for my portfolio on wheelchair athletes. Most of my pics are digital, using Sony cameras and Sigma lenses. I used to spend many weeks each year with friends in Wales which is close to the Elan Valleys where I got many of my raptor pics. I now get these pictures more closely to home, specially red kites and peregrines. I support my pension by selling my pics, cards, coasters, fridge magnets and key rings etc. at craft fairs, something I wish I had done much earlier in life. I give illustrated talks to clubs and societies on wildlife and other branches of photography that I have been involved in.
Hi Mike
ReplyDeleteI'm following the meetings with you and the foxes all the time, what can I say, it's becoming more and more familiar, very nice to see.
Greetings Frank
Hello Frank, I'm glad you like my foxes they mean so much to me. I love animals and the response I get from the foxes is perfect. They say a fox is cunning but I say clever. I am looking forward to the day I can stroke a wild fox. Take care.

What a faithful friend, Mike. I am sure that soon you will be inviting him inside to sleep on your bed like the family dog! Great company. Better than humans!
ReplyDeleteHello David, I am not sure about sleeping on my bed but we have an outhouse which would be available for it. Take care.
