This is one of a pair of foxes that visit me every evening. As you can see she is quite happy having just eaten her evening meal.
Then she will sit or lay down so she can digest the biscuits and other items of food that have been left out for her.
From this picture you can see that she is a female and obviously feeding youngsters. I don't know what I shall do if I am right and she brings the family round.

About Me
- Mike Attwood
- Evacuated during the second world war to a village in Yorkshire where I lived in the home of a good photographer for more than five years who taught me the basics and a great deal about nature. Well past retirement age I have been a wildlife photographer for more than 30 years. Red Kites have been my speciality for much of this period. I did spend several years snapping wheelchair athletes and organizing the British Road Race Championship. In the year 2000 I was awarded a distinction by the Royal Photographic Society for my portfolio on wheelchair athletes. Most of my pics are digital, using Sony cameras and Sigma lenses. I used to spend many weeks each year with friends in Wales which is close to the Elan Valleys where I got many of my raptor pics. I now get these pictures more closely to home, specially red kites and peregrines. I support my pension by selling my pics, cards, coasters, fridge magnets and key rings etc. at craft fairs, something I wish I had done much earlier in life. I give illustrated talks to clubs and societies on wildlife and other branches of photography that I have been involved in.
Hi Mike
ReplyDeletethose are moments when he does not notice the camera, simply to enjoy
Greetings Frank
Its something like that Frank. It loves the food I put down.
DeleteStay safe.
Mike.
If she brings her family, Mike, I am sure you will react as a good surrogate father should and just starting setting out more food at the smorgasbord! Think of the pleasure they will give you. Images such as yours that prove that humans and fellow animals don't by necessity live in a state of hostility are heartwarming, and a lesson to all. Enjoy the week ahead.
ReplyDeleteI love the wild creatures David, and I consider it an honour that they like comming here for their food. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteMike.
I'm sure that you will be absolutely overjoyed if she brings the youngsters to visit you, Mike. I keep hoping that one day we will have the pleasure of seeing young hoglets from the Hedgehogs that visit us here - I know just how wonderful that day would be!
ReplyDeleteTake good care - - - Richard
Hello Richard,
DeleteI sure will be delighted if that happens and I hope that happens for you with the hogs.Stay safe.

Hi Mike, Your garden restaurant is very popular ! :))
ReplyDeleteGreat that you have the IR camera so we all can follow !
Hi Lasse,
DeleteLike any good restaurant the menu is good and varied and never closes. As for the camera it takes over 200 shots a night of which you only see the interesting ones. Stay safe.
Mike.
Hello Mike,
ReplyDeleteAlways pleasing when you get a customer in the garden restaurant, lets all hope its not long before she books a table and brings the young along, it must be the quality of the food.
You stay safe,
John
Hello John,
DeleteIf it comes to that I shall have to put my prices up. Take care.
Mike.
To answer your question Mike. You will need a very large bag of dog biscuits. I think I would be experimenting with different varieties and flavours too while documenting any preferences. Not kidding.
ReplyDeleteI have a shelf full of 7 different biscuits and other goodies, they have no preferences they scoff what ever I put out.
DeleteStay safe Phil.
