Foxes keeping me busy

Two foxes, Mum and Junior are keeping me busy every night. This is Junior whose been around for at least four years.
He is always first for the biscuits. I am not sure whether he is responsible for Mums condition. They do get on very well together.

They really at home in my garden, sometimes visiting as much as five times in an evening.
As you can see this is Mum and I think that she is feeding young. We will find out in the coming weeks.

  2. You are very fortunate to have these regular visits, Mike. It must be quite like having old friends drop by. I am sure the foxes know where they are safe and can even be assured of a snack. Not a bad deal, huh? Stay well. All the best. David

    1. I look after my animals David and they know where there is always a bite to eat. The food is behind a hedge and when somebody walks past the fox just turns its head and carries on eating. They really do feel safe in my garden. Stay safe.

    1. Thankyou Ana,
I really do enjoy the animals visits. I get more animals in my garden than birds but I suppose I can't have everything. Stay safe.

  9. I'm delighted to see that the foxes are still visiting the restaurant 'Chez Attwood'. You obviously have some wonderful items on the menu there. Looks, however, as if you might need to sort out a 'children's menu' soon!

If this was going on in my garden, I might find myself tempted to sit out there, warmly wrapped up against the cold, in order to witness the action 'live'.

Take care and stay safe - - - Richard

    1. Hello Richard,
Nothing but the best for my animals I had thought to do just that but a my age I don't think I would last very long. I am at the moment experimenting with a very fast ISO (25600). So we shall see. Stay safe.
      Mike.

About Me

My photo
Evacuated during the second world war to a village in Yorkshire where I lived in the home of a good photographer for more than five years who taught me the basics and a great deal about nature. Well past retirement age I have been a wildlife photographer for more than 30 years. Red Kites have been my speciality for much of this period. I did spend several years snapping wheelchair athletes and organizing the British Road Race Championship. In the year 2000 I was awarded a distinction by the Royal Photographic Society for my portfolio on wheelchair athletes. Most of my pics are digital, using Sony cameras and Sigma lenses. I used to spend many weeks each year with friends in Wales which is close to the Elan Valleys where I got many of my raptor pics. I now get these pictures more closely to home, specially red kites and peregrines. I support my pension by selling my pics, cards, coasters, fridge magnets and key rings etc. at craft fairs, something I wish I had done much earlier in life. I give illustrated talks to clubs and societies on wildlife and other branches of photography that I have been involved in.
