Fox visit

Last night was a bit quiet and not a lot turned up. Beatie did and after a little look around soon settled down to his supper.
Shortly after Mum turned up and helped herself to her share. Its a mixture of bran flakes and small dog biscuits.
Then to round off the evening Junior arrived and made hi,self comfortable and settled down to clean up what was left.

  1. More great shots, Mike - keep them coming please. Mum's very luxuriant brush certainly makes up for Beatie's deficiency in that department! Take good care - - - Richard

    1. Thanks Richard, They really make my day. I always have liked the fox, it cleans up the countryside, people don't realize mice and vole only live have short lives and the foxes bodies ans litter therefor helping to keep the countryside clean. Stay safe. Mike.

    1. Hi Frank,
Some nights I watch them from my bedroom window but mostly they come after midnight when I'm asleep. Stay safe. Mike.

  3. Hi Mike,
Another series of delightful images, your mixture of food certainly appears to do the trick for a contented Fox, even laying down for a clean up.
    You stay safe,
    John

    1. Thank you John,
In fact I have just been watching him outside my window and I am sure he winked at me. Stay safe. Mike.

About Me

My photo
Evacuated during the second world war to a village in Yorkshire where I lived in the home of a good photographer for more than five years who taught me the basics and a great deal about nature. Well past retirement age I have been a wildlife photographer for more than 30 years. Red Kites have been my speciality for much of this period. I did spend several years snapping wheelchair athletes and organizing the British Road Race Championship. In the year 2000 I was awarded a distinction by the Royal Photographic Society for my portfolio on wheelchair athletes. Most of my pics are digital, using Sony cameras and Sigma lenses. I used to spend many weeks each year with friends in Wales which is close to the Elan Valleys where I got many of my raptor pics. I now get these pictures more closely to home, specially red kites and peregrines. I support my pension by selling my pics, cards, coasters, fridge magnets and key rings etc. at craft fairs, something I wish I had done much earlier in life. I give illustrated talks to clubs and societies on wildlife and other branches of photography that I have been involved in.
