Badger now a regular

I am now concentrating on the badger who seems to be a regular visitor to my supper table. The weather has not been good and it has affected the quality of the pictures, misting up the lens.
He doesn't get on with the foxes so they come at different times, which is unfortunate because they would make lovely pictures together. These two pictures were taken on a damp night with a bit of morning frost. That is my front door you can see in the background. With a bit of luck I may get some better pictures.

  1. How wonderful, Mike! I know that you are disappointed by the general lack of wildlife in your area, but this must compensate for that greatly. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of your garden visitors this year - which I hope will be a good one for you. Take great care - - - Richard

    1. Hi Richard, My animals are a great source of pleasure for me and as I cannot get out much these days they also keep me active. We have a bit of night fog at the moment, its not stopping the animals but ruining my photography. Take care.

  2. Badgers and foxes, Mike. You are a lucky man! Probably better that they don't cross paths too much. Stay well in 2022. All the best. David

  3. The foxes have been comming for several years now but the badger is something special. My neighbours see the foes often but the badgers sneak into my garden when nobody is looking. Take care.

  4. Hello Mike,:=) A Badger in your garden is, very special, but then so are the foxes. Not everyone has that pleasure of these fantastic wild creatures visiting their patch, nor the privilege.
Keep well my friend, and thank you for sharing the Badger, which I have only seen once in my life when I was a girl.

About Me

My photo
Evacuated during the second world war to a village in Yorkshire where I lived in the home of a good photographer for more than five years who taught me the basics and a great deal about nature. Well past retirement age I have been a wildlife photographer for more than 30 years. Red Kites have been my speciality for much of this period. I did spend several years snapping wheelchair athletes and organizing the British Road Race Championship. In the year 2000 I was awarded a distinction by the Royal Photographic Society for my portfolio on wheelchair athletes. Most of my pics are digital, using Sony cameras and Sigma lenses. I used to spend many weeks each year with friends in Wales which is close to the Elan Valleys where I got many of my raptor pics. I now get these pictures more closely to home, specially red kites and peregrines. I support my pension by selling my pics, cards, coasters, fridge magnets and key rings etc. at craft fairs, something I wish I had done much earlier in life. I give illustrated talks to clubs and societies on wildlife and other branches of photography that I have been involved in.
