Junior and friend

Junior arrived by himself , had a look round, had a bite to eat and when his friend turned up a few minutes later they decided to have a little game

They played for about ten minutes then Junior found some more food and decided that was more important and that was the end of that.
He then tucked into the food and left his friend to watch. I am longing to know the sex of his friend. If its a female I could end up with a garden full of foxes.

    1. I should be so lucky David. Its taken me 2 years to get this far with them, I think that would take 2 more.

  2. Wonderful news, Mike. I can think of worse things than a garden full of foxes! Feeding all those mouths might be a bit hard on the pocket, however. ;-}

    1. I can think of nothing better than spending the rest of my life feeding the most persecuted animals of this country paid for out of my pension. Take care Richard.

  3. Hi Mike,
    the garden is slowly filling up, safe surroundings, perfect food... there will be more coming soon... maybe little foxes will come in front of the lens at the beginning of May... that would be a highlight...
    Greetings Frank

  5. Hello Mike, I missed this post somehow, but as always enjoyed seeing the two fox friends. From your bedroom window there is no way of knowing if one is a female, but it would be fantastic if they paired up and then brought their cubs to feed in your garden.

    1. Sorry Sonjia, I missed your comment (not deliberately). The fox pair are still together calling most evenings so I am very hopeful. Take care.

About Me

My photo
Evacuated during the second world war to a village in Yorkshire where I lived in the home of a good photographer for more than five years who taught me the basics and a great deal about nature. Well past retirement age I have been a wildlife photographer for more than 30 years. Red Kites have been my speciality for much of this period. I did spend several years snapping wheelchair athletes and organizing the British Road Race Championship. In the year 2000 I was awarded a distinction by the Royal Photographic Society for my portfolio on wheelchair athletes. Most of my pics are digital, using Sony cameras and Sigma lenses. I used to spend many weeks each year with friends in Wales which is close to the Elan Valleys where I got many of my raptor pics. I now get these pictures more closely to home, specially red kites and peregrines. I support my pension by selling my pics, cards, coasters, fridge magnets and key rings etc. at craft fairs, something I wish I had done much earlier in life. I give illustrated talks to clubs and societies on wildlife and other branches of photography that I have been involved in.
